Coping with the downturn in work created by the struggling automotive industry, a supplier of special manufacturing equipment has introduced a new consumer product targeting the needs of every household.
April 30 thru May 3, 2009, Alternative Engineering, Inc. from Grand Rapids, debuted a new line of organizer products designed to hang on your door at the Michigan International Women’s Expo. The results from the show were fantastic. We had thousands visit our booth and won first prize for best booth design and best new product.
The Door Organizer pays tribute to the company’s 20 years of engineering experience serving its industrial customers by turning a concept into a product in a matter of weeks and not months. Using the same tools used to design and manufacture sophisticated equipment for the automotive industry, Alternative Engineering’s president, Robert Rodriguez, recognized that others needed the same product that he originally created for his wife Shari to organize the clutter from their own countertops.
Noting that everyone enters their home with no place to store their purse, keys, mp3 players, cell phones, cameras…etc, and that most of these items end up on the kitchen counter, Rob created a series of carefully engineered bins and trays that hang on any door to eliminate clutter and the lost time looking for these items.
Once The Door Organizer is in place, you immediately find that it is the best place to store more and more items. The product line is quickly growing with specialized storage for bathrooms, kids rooms and dorm rooms (school colors available!). There is even a special Door Organizer for wrapping paper, ribbon, bows & craft items.
We welcome the public and press to visit our manufacturing facility for a first hand look at this product. Standard Kits are available to purchase and orders can be taken for custom configurations to meet your needs.
